Next steps in programme planning
With EuroDIG 2023 less than three months away, we invite you to
Meet the speaker – Andrew Sullivan
In the upcoming weeks, we will introduce you to the experts who will be speaking at EuroDIG and who are organising sessions.
We are starting off with Andrew Sullivan, president and CEO of the Internet Society who is holding a keynote on June 20th.
Andrew Sullivan joined the Internet Society as President and Chief Executive Officer in September 2018.
He has focused on Internet infrastructure and standards since 2001, when he worked to launch the .info Internet top-level domain. Because of that experience, Andrew was part of the team that collaborated with the Internet Society to launch the Public Interest Registry, and take over the operation of the .org top-level domain. He was then a principal contributor to the Variant Issues Project (VIP) undertaken by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The VIP was an effort to bring together several different, previous efforts in support of internationalized domain names. In 2012 Andrew joined Dyn (later, Oracle Dyn) to establish Dyn Labs and then to manage the DNS development and architecture departments. Throughout his career, he has worked to establish and maintain the Internet’s critical value as an interoperable, neutral platform.
Andrew Sullivan’s graduate work on the philosophy of economics led me to my interest in free/open source software and open Internet protocols and standards. I carry that interest and passion forward in my position at the Internet Society.

Contribute to the Org Teams
We call all interested community members – those with lots of EuroDIG experience, those who are brand new and everyone in between – to join the Org Teams for the subtopics and workshops.
You can do so by clicking on the session in the Wiki agenda and then signing up to the mailing list, which is always linked in the first paragraph. The Org Teams are always open, but the sooner you can get involved, the more the session can benefit from your ideas and networks.

Consolidated programme
Thank you for your comments! Based on the feedback we got in the past weeks, the programme has been adapted. You can find the consolidated version on the EuroDIG Wiki. The session titles, as every year, are currently in a keyword format because both the content of the session as well as the title are to be collaboratively designed by the Org Teams.
Join the Main Topics Calls!
Tomorrow and Friday, you can join the Org Team Calls for the EuroDIG 2023 Main Topics:
If you’d like to join, please register on the EuroDIG website. The objective of these discussions is to ensure a good connection between sessions and to avoid redundancy. Only thereafter will Org Teams split into sub-groups for the different sessions. However, Org Teams remain open and everyone is invited to participate!
Interview with Lise Fuhr on the IGF Leadership Panel
Lise Fuhr is the Director General of ETNO, the European Telecommunications Network Operators’ Association, which has been an Institutional Partner of EuroDIG for many years. She was elected to the newly established IGF Leadership Panel and we asked her how this panel is progressing. You can read the full interview on the EuroDIG website.
Next week, the IGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group and the Leadership Panel are meeting in Vienna, where the First Open Consultation and MAG Meeting for IGF 2023 in Kyoto are taking place.

Shape EuroDIG’s 2023 Main Topics
During the Public Planning Meeting earlier this month, the suggestion was taken up to make a slight change to the workflow of Org Teams, who are shaping the sessions at EuroDIG. You can find out more and register here.
The three Main Topics and corresponding meeting dates are:
Impact of the war: 2nd March, 14:00-15:30 CET
Digital platforms: 2nd March, 15:30-17:00 CET
Internet fragmentation: 3rd March, 14:30-16:00 CET
If any or all of these spark your interest and you want to contribute, visit https://www.eurodig.org/get-involved/planning-process/
