Meet the Focal Point – Nathan Meurrens

Leading up to EuroDIG 2026, we are going to introduce the people who are coordinating the collaborative session planning – our Focal Points – and their session topics.

Nathan Meurrens is the Chief Technology Officer at EURid, the internet registry for the .eu top-level domain, and a member of ICANN’s TLD OPS Standing Committee. He leads technology strategy and operations for registry services, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software delivery, with an emphasis on open source, digital sovereignty, and resilient internet infrastructure. He previously led digital architecture at NTT DATA Belgium, founded eShango in Senegal, delivering IT services to microfinance institutions in West and Central Africa, and directed Cassiopea, promoting an open and inclusive internet. His work focuses on internet governance, public-interest digital infrastructure, and digital empowerment.

At EuroDIG 2026, Nathan is a Co-Focal Point of Workshop 1: EUID Wallet and EU Business Wallet as Tools for Enhancing the European Digital Single Market, which is going to be held on May 27. If you would like to contribute your ideas to this session, we warmly invite you to join the Org Team by signing up for the session mailing list.
