Get involved!

EuroDIG is more than just a conference! It is a platform for discussion and the exchange of ideas on emerging issues and challenges concerning the Internet. All stakeholders are invited to shape the agenda jointly and take part in the discussion. The inclusive and continuous dialogue, which culminates in an annual event, has taken place in a different European country every year since its inception in 2008. The results are conveyed in the form of ‘Messages’ which are forwarded to policy makers and fed into the annual global UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF).

Save the date: the next EuroDIG will take place on 20 – 22 June 2022

Traditionally, June 20 will be a Day 0 dedicated to stakeholder to engage on specific topics. The main event will take place on 21 – 22 June, with two full days of workshops and discussions. YOUthDIG will be held on the weekend just before EuroDIG.

After two years of virtual meetings, we are full of hope to finally make it to Trieste in Italy. Colleagues from the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) have renewed their invitation to host the EuroDIG community for the annual event. While the pandemic situation in the upcoming months has to be carefully considered in the planning process, we are preparing for a hybrid event.

EuroDIG planning process

Every year EuroDIG takes place in another European country thus bringing in new people constantly. The local community always plays a big role in the planning process, whilst the European network behind EuroDIG guarantees stability and continuity.

The Youth Dialogue on Internet Governance (YOUthDIG) is a yearly pre-event to the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG) aimed to foster active youth participation.

Digital Cooperation

At its preparatory meeting in January 2019, the EuroDIG community decided to contribute to the UN process on Digital Cooperation that is based on work of the UN Secretary Generals High Level Panel on Digital Cooperation.
