Every year EuroDIG takes place in another European country thus bringing in new people constantly. The local community always plays a big role in the planning process, whilst the European network behind EuroDIG guarantees stability and continuity.
EuroDIG is more than just a conference! It is a platform for discussion and the exchange of ideas on emerging issues and challenges concerning the Internet. All stakeholders are invited to shape the agenda jointly and take part in the discussion. The inclusive and continuous dialogue, which culminates in an annual event, has taken place in a different European country every year since its inception in 2008. The results are conveyed in the form of ‘Messages’ which are forwarded to policy makers and fed into the annual global UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF).
Join us in Tampere!
EuroDIG 2023 will take place from NEW DATE: 19 – 21 June 2023 at Tampere University as a hybrid event. The overarching theme is “Internet in troubled times: risks, resilience, hope“. On 19 June this will include (half) a day of pre events on which organisations and initiatives could present their work, and engage with the community. Back to back the Finnish IGF will take place at the same facility. In the afternoon EuroDIG will be opened, followed by two days of multi-stakeholder workshops and high-level debates. Have a look at the draft programme.
YOUthDIG, the annual youth engagement programme, will be held on the weekend just before EuroDIG. Application is possible now here.
