EuroDIG in Tampere and remote successfully concluded

June 22, 2023

EuroDIG 2023 closed yesterday and we want to thank the whole community who shaped this year’s conference and actively participated in Tampere and online!

We had 745 registered participants from 97 (!)  countries – 335 for onsite in Finland, 410 for online.

Being hosted at Tampere University, it might not come as a surprise that Academia was our biggest stakeholder group this year with more than 23%. But we achieved a good balance with Civil Society, Government, Private Sector and the Technical Community each ranging between 19% and 13% of participants.

The programme covered three main topics as well as workshops, flash sessions and independently organised pre-sessions across three days.

We also had a YOUthDIG cohort who were really visible this year. YOUthDIG fellows spoke in two pre-sessions, the IGF youth track session, two main sessions and hosted two flash sessions. The 2023 Youth Messages can already be found on the EuroDIGWiki

This is what’s next

  • The video recordings of workshops will be available on YouTube and linked in the programme next week.
  • The 2023 Messages will be finalised in July. The commenting platform will open next week at https://comment.eurodig.org/, when the Org Teams and rapporteurs have made their adjustments.
  • Other materials such as transcripts and photos will be made available.

Hyvää Juhannusta! Happy Midsummer!

Thank you, Tampere!
