This week, we focus on sessions that explored trustworthy AI in public services, information integrity in the age of AI, and advancing gender equality in the digital public sphere.
Messages of Main Topic 3: Trustworthy AI in Public Services: Transparency, Accountability, and Crisis-Resilient Communication
This main session explored how trustworthy AI can strengthen public services while safeguarding democracy, human rights and public trust. Participants discussed the importance of ensuring that AI supports not only efficiency, but also fairness, accessibility, transparency and accountability. The Messages emphasise the need for meaningful human oversight, human rights-based governance, strong technical standards, interoperability, and capacity building to support the responsible and inclusive deployment of AI across the public sector.

Messages of Workshop 2: Information Quality and Integrity – European Approaches
This workshop examined the impact of AI-generated content and deepfakes on information quality and democratic discourse. Discussions focused on the shared responsibility of governments, platforms, media, civil society and users in addressing emerging risks. Participants highlighted that while content labelling can play a role, it is not sufficient on its own, stressing the need for greater media literacy, interoperable detection tools and stronger international cooperation to strengthen information integrity.

Messages of Workshop 4: Advancing Gender Equality in the Digital Public Sphere: Tackling Online Violence and AI-Discrimination
This workshop explored the challenges of tackling online gender-based violence and AI-driven discrimination in the digital public sphere. Participants discussed how existing inequalities are reinforced online, limiting the participation of women and girls and weakening democratic debate. The Messages underline the importance of multistakeholder cooperation, evidence-based policy-making, greater accountability for online platforms, and the development of technical solutions that embed safety, equality and inclusion by design while respecting fundamental rights.
