Amazing turnout of YOUthDIG Call for Applications
Consistent and effective youth participation has been a mission of EuroDIG since its early days. Every year, a group of young newcomers are given the opportunity to engage and learn before and during EuroDIG to advocate for their perspectives and become a member of the EuroDIG community. The YOUthDIG programme is also led by young people, former YOUthDIG participants themselves.
Last week, the Call for Applications closed and we received 275 submissions from all over Europe. 159 applicants are women, 113 are men and 3 are non-binary. It is great to see such high interest again and we are looking forward to welcoming this year’s selected YOUthDIG participants in Vilnius in June!
Meet the YOUthDIG Organising Team
Every year the YOUthDIG Organising Team is compiled of former participants who design the programme for the upcoming edition.
Nadia Tjahja has been coordinating the programme for several years now, after starting to facilitate the YOUthDIG messages in 2019.
The programme committee members this year are:
- João Pedro Martins from Portugal, YOUthDIG participant in 2018
- Marten Porte from the Netherland, YOUthDIG participant in 2021
- Pilar Rodriguez from Spain, YOUthDIG participant in 2023
- Verena Wingerter from Germany, YOUthDIG participant in 2023
