Remote participation

19 – 20 June 2019

Join the sessions remotely!

Remote participation is one of the applications to reduce the different gaps related to the Internet today. Unfortunately, several factors may hamper physical attendance, such as professional commitments or travel costs. But this does not mean that it is not possible to follow the debates. It does not mean you cannot participate actively and make your voice heard.

In order to join the sessions there are two options:

  1. Watching only: follow the web stream, no interaction with the room is possible
  2. Active participation: Login to WebEx (requires download of a Plug-in)

If you chose to participate via WebEx please take these steps (quick guide):

  • Please try to join the room at least 15 minutes before the session.
  • Click on the relevant link provided on the corresponding EuroDIG programme site at the EuroDIG wiki provided shortly before the event
  • When you click on the remote participation link there, you will be asked to enter your name and email address.
  • Click on "Participants" to view the host (if video is available), and other attendees.
  • Your microphone will be automatically muted when you enter the room. This is to preserve silence in the room.
  • If you would like to comment, or intervene you can write in the chat box and ask the remote moderator to read out the comment or you can ask for the floor and you will be connected to the room. Make sure your microphone is connected and working.
